Weekly Photo Challenge: Through
Day 157 – December 26, 2011
This week, the theme of the WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge is “through“.
I feel extremely lucky that the family and I, along with my wife’s sister, were able to visit the Incan site known as Machu Picchu. Not only is it an incredible and magnificent place to visit, but it is a photographer’s dream.
My offering this week is a view of the smaller of the two iconic features that comprise the mountain Huayna Picchu. This vista is seen through Machu Picchu’s front door, The Gate of the Sun (Intipuncu).
If you haven’t, you really should come see this place. You will literally be awe-struck.

Breathtaking!
That it is. Take that feeling and multiply it by 100 and that’s what it feels like to actually be there.
I have to say a WOW!!! to your “Gate of the Sun” (Intipuncu)
Can you only imagine how many more exclamation points you need if you were able to see the whole kit-and-kaboodle?
nice shot
